- HAWLEY’S COSTUME PARTY - A wild and wide menagerie of costumed characters attended the post-Halloween costume party Saturday at the bandstand in Bingham Park. Hawley Mayor David Hawk said he was very pleased with the turnout and the chance to provide this for the kids. Hurricane Sandy had led to the cancellation of the Halloween parade and contest three days before, and with school closed all week, there were no holiday activities there. Wallenpaupack Area High School’s band performed in costume. Borough Council, Police and Fire Departments as well as other community members volunteered, and gave out donuts, candy and cider.See www.neagle.com for more photos as well as a video.News Eagle photos by Peter Becker
