    • Ringing in the Season
HAWLEY- Chris Ackerman of Lakeville has been a Salvation Army Bell Ringer for 5- 10 years. He is seen collecting donations outside the Hawley Library during the 2012 Hawley Winterfest. Salvation Army volunteers were busy through December outside Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Dave’s Super Duper and any other locations where they had permission to be. Chris said he receives an “overwhelmingly good response” and hears many nice comments from people who have been helped through the years by the Salvation Army. Money raised here is used to assist local people in need. His wife Beth coordinates the Bell Ringers. For information call (570)510-9919.
