According to a new study published in the Journal of Neuroscience, when you lose sleep, no matter if you "make it up" later, you may be damaging your brain. Scientists studying mice found that when sleep deprivation occurs, it damages their brains, and they believe the same thing may be happening with humans.

President Barack Obama today honored 24 Army soldiers with the Medal of Honor for their heroic actions in World War II, Vietnam and Korea. The soldiers would have received the medals earlier if not for the color of their skin, Obama said. Only three of the soldiers are still alive.
