HARRISBURG -  Reps. Sandra Major (R-Susquehanna/Wayne/Wyoming) and Mike Peifer (R-Monroe/Pike/Wayne) on March 26 announced a total of nearly $1.3 million in state funding awarded to Wayne County communities under a grant program supported by proceeds of Commonwealth casinos.   The grants were awarded as follows:Canaan Township – $275,000 grant for new and upgraded equipment for the Waymart Area Authority’s wastewater treatment plant.
