Rolin Edward likes to keep busy. Fortunately, with his Nov. 13 appointment to the Paupack Township Zoning Officer’s post, it should be a little easier for him to keep his schedule full.

The Paupack Board of Supervisors tapped Edward to fill the post vacated by Fred Nemac. Chairman Bruce Chandler expressed the Board’s gratitude to Nemac for his years of “professional, dedicated service,” as well as his confidence in Edward’s ability to fill his predecessor’s shoes.

With approximately 20 years behind him as the Zoning Officer for Palmyra  Township (Pike), as well as 18 years in the same post in Cherry Ridge and more than six in Porter Township, Edward doesn’t expect to run into many surprises in his newest appointment.

Prior to beginning his career as a Zoning Officer, Edward ran a dock building business, managed the Lakeside Resort, and served in the Engineering and Safety Department at the Tobyhanna Army Depot.

In addition to the four Zoning Officer hats he wears, Edward also maintains the aforementioned dock building business, and along with his two partners in another company, Rohmar Associates, LLC, he has recently bought Tanglwood Ski Area.

He is a resident of Simons Point in Palmyra Township (Pike).
