The Palmyra Township (Pike) Comprehensive Planning Committee has extended the deadline for the return of the recently distributed community survey.

The Palmyra Township (Pike) Comprehensive Planning Committee has extended the deadline for the return of the recently distributed community survey.

Originally set for return by Nov. 30, the deadline is now Dec. 20. Some 200 surveys have been returned and the Committee is encouraging more Township residents and landowners to participate. The survey asks respondents to rate the quality of life in the Township, evaluate community facilities and services, and express future expectations, and is one part of the public participation for the drafting of the Township Comprehensive Plan.

Survey results will be used as part of establishing goals and objectives and planning for community facilities and services, roads and transportation, housing, land use management, open space and natural resources conservation, and environmental protection.

The Comprehensive Planning Committee includes Jim Bloodworth, John Dublanica, Bob Nied, Bertha Seeley, Tom Simons and Jon Tandy.

Survey forms are available from Committee members and at the Township Building - 226-2230 ext 101. The survey may also be completed on line at www.palmyrapike.org.

More details about the Comprehensive Plan are also available at the Township building and the Township Web Site, www.palmyrapike.org.
