The Friends of the Pike County Public Library invite you to the much anticipated Spring book/bake sale.

Please mark your calendar for Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17 and plan to visit the sale at the American Legion in Milford. The Legion is located on Water Street (SR001).

“We are offering dozens of gently used books written by your favorite authors,” organizers said. “The books are priced at $1 for hard covers, and only 50 cents for paperbacks.”

The hours for the sale are:

• Saturday May 16 — 8 am to 9 am SPECIAL PREVIEW SALE (Entry Fee $10);

• May 16 — 9 am to 4 pm. No fee; and

• May 17 — 10 am to 2 pm. No fee.

As usual, the sale will have a wide variety of wonderful fiction and non-fiction books.    It includes romance, classics, westerns, sci-fi, foreign language, religion and humor books as well as our plentiful selection of how-to, mysteries, and cook books.

You will find our collection of children’s and young adult’s books awesome. The  children’s books are bargain priced from a quarter to a dollar. “We have DVD’s, cassettes, videos and audio tapes for adults and children,” organizers said.

The bake sale offers a wide variety of homemade goodies prepared by the best bakers in Pike County. The American Legion will be holding a sale of plants from a quality nursery, so you can buy books, plants and baked goods at the one location.

There is ample free parking at the Legion.

“Show your support for the Library Plan to stop by and browse through our large book selection,” organizers saids.

Please do not bring any books for donation to the sale. The group has been collecting since last September, and have no more room. Wait until after the May sale, and bring them to your local Library branch. For further information, contact Book Sale Chairman Ken Corcoran, at 570-409-9089.
