Thursday, Nov. 19, the United Way of Pike County is hosting the Sixth Annual Chefs United Benefit Dinner at Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Restaurant on Lake Wallenpaupack. 


Thursday, Nov. 19, the United Way of Pike County is hosting the Sixth Annual Chefs United Benefit Dinner at Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Restaurant on Lake Wallenpaupack. 

This evening showcases Chefs from the finest area restaurants who will prepare a sampling of their restaurant specialties for all to enjoy. Tickets are $55 per person and the evening begins at 6 pm with Cash Bar and Hors D’oeuvres, Dinner begins at 7 pm.

Michele Hansen, the owner of Misc. Essentials; A Kitchen Shop, located in the Lake Region IGA plaza in Hawley, has just announced that she will provide a centerpiece basket for each table to be raffled off to guests supporting the United Way. Each guest can purchase as many raffle tickets as they want to win one or more of the baskets from Michele’s store.

“As Hansen showed us around her large store we were thrilled to explore all of the culinary products for cooking, baking, entertaining and gifting,” Pike UNited Way officials said. Hansen said, “Misc. Essentials; A kitchen Shop features over 125 different vendors, including local Glass Cutting Artist, Kathy LaTournous. Gifting has become a major component of our business. We do thousands of Gift Baskets yearly and will meet your budgetary needs and help you create a gifting memory. We also hold Cooking Classes on Saturday evenings. These are very popular and great fun! You can book an entire class and make it a Girls Night Out, Bachelorette Party, Bridal Shower, Birthday Party, whatever. Classes are very interactive so it is a great way to re-connect with family and friends.
