  • State Police, Blooming Grove, found 30 mature marijuana pants in the woods in Lackawaxen Township, Wednesday, Sept. 8, while looking for a missing person.
    The missing man, Richard Gerard Moore, 56, of Lackawaxen, had been reported missing since the week before. Police issued a separate report Wednesday stating that Moore was located at about 11:30 a.m. along Route 6 in Lackawaxen Township. He was unharmed and in good health, Trooper Jeremy Carroll said.
    Cpl. David Hahn said that the marijuana plants were discovered growing approximately one mile south of the Lackawaxen Township Fire Station off of Route 590.
    The plants were seized and taken to the Blooming Grove barracks and entered into evidence. Cpl. Hahn said that the investigation continues, and there are several suspects in the case.
