Pike County Economic Development Authority is pleased to announce the first in a series of Information Forums being offered in January.  In collaboration with the Pennsylvania Ethics Commission, a presentation on Pennsylvania ethics law and what public officials and appointees need to know about this important topic will be held on Thursday, Jan. 27 at Ehrhardt's Lakeside Resort and Conference Center on Rt. 507 in Palmyra Township.


Pike County Economic Development Authority is pleased to announce the first in a series of Information Forums being offered in January.  In collaboration with the Pennsylvania Ethics Commission, a presentation on Pennsylvania ethics law and what public officials and appointees need to know about this important topic will be held on Thursday, Jan. 27 at Ehrhardt's Lakeside Resort and Conference Center on Rt. 507 in Palmyra Township.  
Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. with the program starting at 8.  The cost to attend is $25 per person and includes breakfast.  In case of inclement weather, the program will be rescheduled for Feb. 3rd.
The presentation will cover topics including conflicts of interest, financial disclosures, confidentiality, restricted activities and the definitions under the law.  It's a must for those in public office, appointed by governing bodies, or considering public office!  Those doing business with local or state governmental bodies or public officials will also find the program enlightening and are encouraged to attend.
