The Emergency Shelter, "Warmth in the Night" will be open from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Honesdale Wednesday, Jan. 19 through Sunday, Jan. 23rd - and possibly longer.

 


The Emergency Shelter, "Warmth in the Night" will be open from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Honesdale Wednesday, Jan. 19 through Sunday, Jan. 23rd - and possibly longer.
The shelter will be open on those nights when the temperature and/or wind-chill drops below zero degrees (F). Volunteers from the Church and community will staff the shelter. For the homeless, those who are stranded, those whose heating source is inadequate.
They are working with the local emergency responders and Borough Police to provide safety for local residents or those in transition, said Fr. Ed Erb, rector.
