To the Editor:
When George Fluhr was elected supervisor, he had the Walls removed from many positions in the town stating there was a large conflict of interest with so many positions being held by family members. It seems that he has now replaced the Wall family with the Myers Family.
Robert Myers is the town Roadmaster and only Emergency Management Agent; Dave Myers, Bob's son-in-law, is now on the park committee; Elizabeth Myers, Bob's wife, is the Tax Collector; and his daughter, Wendy, was requested to fill the new position of Deputy Tax Collector.
I believe this is a conflict of interest with so many family members having so many positions in the same town and is a case where the town will soon be run by a single family. I thought George was after diversity in the town and on its boards but I guess I was wrong.
Maybe a conflict of interest only occurs when the people of interest conflict with George Fluhr's ideas. I think it is time to change the offices around a bit.
Sincerely,
Kathy Schulze
