On Saturday afternoon, the Wallenpaupack boys freshmen basketball team took to the hardwood against Scranton Prep, and fell to the visiting Cavaliers 56-20.

In the first quarter, Prep went on a nine-point unanswered run, before Paupack’s Matt Gregory drained an eight-foot jumper with 43.6 seconds left.

In the second, Sean Parker scored four points, and Peter Stella knocked down two three-pointers, to cut the deficit to 23-12 heading into the intermission for half-time.

Stella added the Bucks only bucket in the third stanza, and Prep took a 40-14 advantage into the final period.

When the final whistle sounded, the Bucks fell 56-20.

Stella had a team-high eight points, Parker, Gregory, and Dom Basilicata each chipped in four apiece.

Parker and Gregory combined for seven rebounds.
