For the past thirteen years, the Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD) has hosted Chefs Do Dinner: a delicious culinary event featuring samples from some of Pike County's and the area's favorite restaurants.
The event is planned for Wednesday, March 30 between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. at the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing, Matamoras.
This year's list of venues includes many fine restaurants, including a local favorite, the Fork at Twin Lakes. Owned and operated by Peter and Sharon Daniel, the Fork at Twin Lakes has been a dedicated participant of Chefs Do Dinner since its launch in 1998.
The Fork at Twin Lakes Restaurant has been serving the community since 1986, featuring fresh, seasonal American cuisine in an intimate, casual atmosphere. The restaurant offers fine dining in a neighborhood country restaurant, with dishes including small plates, such as an arugula salad with beets, spiced walnuts, Clementine's, Calkins Creamery Tome cheese, and honey-orange vinaigrette, or large plates, such as pan-seared herb marinated swordfish with Muscatel vinaigrette, spinach, & basmati rice.
The CDD would like to thank the Fork at Twin Lakes Restaurant for their support and contribution to the Chefs Do Dinner event.
Restaurants such as The Fork at Twin Lakes Restaurant have donated their time and culinary expertise to Chefs Do Dinner, a fundraising event for the Center for Developmental Disabilities. The CDD is an educational, therapeutic, and family support facility for children with mild to severe disabilities in the Tri-State area; the only facility of its kind. Many families depend on their exceptional services to teach their children things many people take for granted, like how to laugh, play, and speak.
