State Police, Blooming Grove,  responded to a crash where an SUV rolled over several times down an embankment. The driver was unhurt.
On Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 3 a.m., Peter C. Fawcett was motoring west on Route 6, though Palmyra Township (Wayne). Fawcett, who is 34 and from Sussex, NJ, later reported that a vehicle stopped short in front of him and he swerved to avoid a collision.
Fawcett, driving a 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, traveled up a snow embankment and went over the guide rail on the north berm. His vehicle then overturned several times and came to rest at the bottom of a steep embankment leading towards Wallenpaupack Creek.
This was just outside Hawley Borough across from the area of the Lake Region Dime Bank office.  The vehicle was towed out Wednesday afternoon.
Trooper Sandra VanLuvender said that the driver reported wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Fawcett was charged  with Driving Too Fast for Conditions.
