The Pike County Humane Society (PCHS) will be hosting a low cost rabies and vaccination clinic for dogs and cats from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 6 at the Matamoras Fire House on Avenue Q at Airport Park in Matamoras.
PA and non-PA residents are invited to bring their dogs and cats to take advantage of various reduced-cost vaccines, tests, worming treatments, micro chipping and nail clipping by a licensed veterinary staff. Pike County dog licenses will also be available. Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers. Payment must be by cash or credit cards; unfortunately checks can not be accepted.
“This is a genuine opportunity for pet owners to protect the health of their pets and family members, at costs significantly lower than the going rates,” noted PCHS President Steve Warshaw. “We are pleased to be able to assist our community’s pet owners in this way, and are grateful for the donations and volunteer efforts that support this work. To continue, we look to our friends, neighbors and area businesses for their continued support. A visit to pikecountyhs.blogspot.com suggests ways you can help, or please feel free to contact us at (570)296-7654 or pikecountyhs@gmail.com.”
