Understanding local government structure and how local planning commissions and governing boards function in Pennsylvania will be the focus of this public informational program from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at PPL's Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center.
Peter Wulfhorst of the Penn State Cooperative Extension and Carson Helfrich, a local planning consultant, will lead this presentation. An overview of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code will also be provided.
Registration for the program is $5 per person for materials.
The learning center is off Route 6 just east of the intersection of Routes 590 and 6 and next to Wallenpaupack Area High School.
