The Buckhorn varsity baseball team picked up its first win of the season over Abington Heights on Thursday 9-3 in Lackawanna League Division One action.


 The Buckhorn varsity baseball team picked up its first win of the season over Abington Heights on Thursday 9-3 in Lackawanna League Division One action.

Scoring a run in each of the first three frames the score was knotted at 3-3 until the top of the fifth when the Bucks exploded, plating five runs.

Jake DeSane went the distance on the hill earning the win for the Bucks, allowing just two earned runs and striking out four on 104 pitches thrown.

DeSane also helped his own cause by going 3 for 4 at the plate including a double.

Alec McKenna and Kyle Conklin each had a pair of hits. Kane Kellogg (double), Steve Camasta, Morgen Hatton, Rob Cameron and Kenny Ciszak all had one hit apiece.
