Stiglitz is a Nobel Prize-winning economist who teaches at Columbia University. He founded a branch of economics called “The Economics of Information.”
Linda Bilmes is a professor at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She is an expert on US budgeting and public finance.
“This is a timely topic considering the budget and military conflict issues crowding the news lately,” says Chuck Heyn. “We need to look closely at the huge escalating costs of the wars we are involved in—all borrowed money—and the future consequences of those wars.”
This event continues the monthly forums offered to the community by Waynepeace in its effort to bring people together to discuss issues affecting our community and the world. All are welcome to this free program. Refreshments will be served.
