A talent show gets underway this Saturday, April 30 at the Wallenpaupack North Intermediate School. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society Lake Region Relay for Life.
The show begins at 4 p.m.
Admission to the talent show will be a donation of at least $5.00.  Food, catered by Ryans Deli, will be for sale.
Jeff Oakley will be the emcee.
There will be a panel of judges consiting of Julie Zeiler, Hawley’s Mayor Kevin Hawk, Juan Espino and Thomas Michael. Show participants will compete for cash prizes.
The Relay Committee decided to let the top five performers come to the Relayfor Life and perform on May 21st, on the big stage.  Top talent show performers will be decided with buckets and voted on with pocket change from the audience members.
This show is being hosted by the Wallenpaupack North Elementary Parents Teacher’s Association (PTA) which has a team participating in the Lake Region Relay for Life. Each team has a goal to raise a certain amount of money for the American Cancer Society, and the PTA plans to do this with the talent show.
Eva Warner is co-chairing the show with Stacey Mitchell, for the PTA.
The Lake Region Relay for Life takes place at the Wallenpaupack athletic track, from 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, around the clock to 10 a.m. Sunday, May 22. Teams, as well as anyone who wishes to participate in support of cancer research, victims and survivors, will be walking around the track.
