Lisa D. Davis-WIlcox, 27, of Honesdale, suffered “major injury” in a crash, April 18, said Honesdale State Police.
The victim was traveling south along SR 191, Cherry Ridge Township at 10:45 p.m. when the 2002 Volkswagen Jetta entered the west berm. The car hit a dirt embankment and spun around across both lanes. The car entered the path of a Peterbuilt truck cab, operated by Martin A. Melody, 40, of Pittston.
The Volkswagen hit the cab, spun again, hit a culvert, traveled over a dirt embankment and  hit a tree. The car continued across a driveway, still spinning. It then crossed a grassy area and impacted a second tree. This caused the car to roll several times, ejecting the driver.
The Volkswagen came to rest in a yard on its roof. Davis-Wilcox landed on the lawn, suffering severe injuries, police said. She was life-flighted to Community Medical Center.
Mellody was not hurt in the crash.
Trooper Chad Cunningham listed the crash as allegedly DUI-related.
Honesdale Fire Department responded.
