Starting at 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, the public is welcome in Bingham Park, Hawley for “Enchanted Christmas by Candlight.”


Starting at 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, the public is welcome in Bingham Park, Hawley for “Enchanted Christmas by Candlight.”
Hosted by community volunteers, there will be carols, marshmallows, a tree lighting and a visit by a certain white-bearded gentleman fresh from the far north.
Maria Reakes, who is vice-president of Downtown Hawley Partnership, listed the events planned:
4 p.m. Chimes of Christmas
4:30 p.m. Christmas carolers
5 p.m. Tree lighting and blessing’
5 p.m. Christmas music celebration by Wallenpaupack Free Methodist Church band.
There will be dancing in the bandstand. Father Christmas and his number one Elf will be on hand, and beware- rumor is that Mr. Scrooge will also be lurking about.
Enjoy some marshmallows at the bonfire as well as other refreshments. There will be an “angel tree” set up as well, in remembrance. Sunday, Dec. 4 has been set side in case of rain.
