  • Wilhelmina A. Stellmann, age 94, of Hawley died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.

  • Wilhelmina A. Stellmann, age 94, of Hawley died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.
    Mrs. Stellmann was born February 2, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Carl and Anna (Flathman) Barg. She was predeceased by her husband, George H. Stellmann; her daughter, Carol Cavanaugh, a son Richard Stellmann, a sister, Helen Fusco and two brothers, Carl and Fred Barg.
    She was a homemaker who loved to shop, getting bargains and enjoyed playing the slots in Atlantic City, doing crossword puzzles and was very proud walking down the street with her four children.
    She is survived by one daughter: Helen Cavanaugh of Hawley, PA and one son: Walter Stellmann of Lake Ronkonkoma, NY; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters: Madeline Pombriant of Honesdale, PA, Muriel Schmitt of Queens Village, NY and one brother: Ronald Barg of Cairo, NY and several nieces and nephews.
    Calling hours will be Friday, March 9th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Teeters’ East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 10th at 10 a.m. at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley.
    Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley.
