William August Grube, age 58, a lifelong resident of Hawley died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Born October 6, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the son of Evelyn (Masthoff) Grube of Elizabethtown and formerly of Hawely and the late William G. Grube.
A 1971 graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, he earned an Associate Degree in Business from Lackawanna College. He worked as a landscaper and builder. He was the former assistant chief of the Tafton Dive Team and coached Little League Baseball.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son: Shane Grube of Hawley; a brother: Mark Grube of Hawley; two sisters: Ruth Neville and her husband Jack of Connecticut and Kate Mylin and her husband Sam of Lancaster Co., PA; an aunt: Blanche Grube of Whiting, NJ; his former wife: Barbara Coutts Rinehold of Tafton; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at Teeters’ East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor officiating. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
