Ralph M. Gallo of Honesdale, PA, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, a retired radio maintenance supervisor for the Port Authority of NY/NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. He was 84. The son of the late Ralph and Clara Gallo, born August 25, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY.
Ralph was in the US Navy and was a WWII Veteran. He will be rejoined with his wife Theresa Giglio, who passed away in 1997. Survivors include his daughter Pamela Roeck and her husband Robert of Honesdale, PA, his grandchildren: Robert Roeck of Florida and Lauren Roeck of Honesdale, PA. His one brother and two sisters: Henry Gallo, Emily Zarraga and Claire Belenger all of Massachusetts.
Ralph is predeceased by his son Gregory Gallo who passed away at an early age of 52 in August 2010 and a brother Robert Gallo.
Ralph was a die hard NY Mets fan, and enjoyed watching all sports. He was an avid model airplane builder and pilot in his earlier years. He enjoyed walks in Honesdale and relaxing on the benches of Central Park eating candy or enjoying an ice cream cone. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and grandchildren. Ralph was a kind and gentle man with a heart of gold. Ralphs last years were spent as a resident of Bethany Village where he enjoyed many friends and recreations.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 26, 2012 at 10 a.m. at B.V.M. Queen of Peace R.C. Church, Hawley, PA.
