The Invaders were looking for revenge, losing to Paupack 10-7 in the first meeting of the year in junior varsity baseball action, and winning the second meeting 10-6.
The Bucks went down quietly in the first frame, and West crossed the dish four times to take the early advantage.
They extended the lead to 5-0 after two innings of play, before the Bucks responded in the third, scoring three of their own.
Justin O’Dell got things started for Paupack when he ripped a single and then came around to score on an Alec Babyak RBI double.
David Ortiz followed that up with an RBI double of his own, and scored on a single off the bat of Luke Camuso.
Cutting the deficit to 5-3, West answered the call and scored three more runs in the bottom half of the frame to make it 8-3.
Again the Bucks responded and scored three more runs in the fourth.
Sammy Vargas led off with a single, O’Dell collected another hit and an RBI, and Danny Skibber worked a walk.
With two runners on base, Babyak cracked another double, this time clearing the bases for two RBIs.
O’Dell, on the hill for the Bucks, took down West in order to close out the bottom of the fourth.
Joey Budnovitch hit a double in the fifth, but was stranded on base, and the Invaders scored the game’s final two runs to win 10-6.
Paupack next plays at home on Friday, when they will host Scranton Prep.
