Elizabeth Virginia Dunlap Hiller of White Mills, was brought home to the Lord on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas T. Hiller. The couple married on April 28, 1956.
Born May 26, 1938 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Robert James and Elizabeth Wehnert Dunlap. She was a graduate of East Side High School of the Paterson School District.
Betty was a member of the White Mills United Methodist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary and served on various committees. Betty strengthened her faith in the Lord on her walk to Emmaus. She was also an active member of two Red Hatter groups and the White Mills Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. A few of the things Betty loved to do were going to Lancaster with Sandy and walking around the flea market “Roots.” When she and Phyllis would get together, you never knew what they would get into, but they sure had fun! She also enjoyed her daily phone call with her niece Dee. Dedicated and always by her side, Helen and Rosie were there for Betty with love and care. Most of all, she loved to have her boys, daughters and “grand babies” around her. “This” she would say, “is absolutely wonderful.”
Also surviving are her sons Thomas Robert Hiller and wife Karen, Robert James Hiller and wife Marjorie Grace, Dennis Scott Hiller and wife Kristiann; her grandchildren Echo, Patrick, R.J. Hunter Thomas, Gretchen Elizabeth, Thomas Michael, and Cannon Scott Hiller.
She was preceded in death by her beloved brother William Dunlap, infant daughter Debra Lynn Hiller and cherished grandson Justin Scott Hiller.
She is also survived by all her many loved ones and precious friends that she held so dearly in her heart. Our Betty Boop may not be with us in body, but she will always be in our hearts and spirit. Our family sends out to all who cared for Betty a great big Betty hug and may God help mend our hearts and remember her laughter.
