  • The Greene-Dreher Historical Society (GDHS) recently held an Open House and Ice Cream Social at the GDHS Hall to showcase its mission to preserve and share local history and to launch its Capital Campaign for expansion of its  facilities in South Sterling.
The campaign hopes to fund the building of a storage barn for its growing collections and a display pavilion as a venue to share farm implements of the past with the public, tourists, and area children.
Ruth Altemier, President of the Greene-Dreher Historical Society, accepted payment of the first contribution to the Capital Campaign at the Open House from Ginny Rohrbacker accompanied by her daughter, Sandy Toy.
