Haverford College has announced the graduation of Edmund J. Carlton, son of Edmund and Heidi Carlton of Shohola, and a graduate of The St. Andrew’s School.
One of 307 members of Haverford’s Class of 2012, Carlton received a bachelor’s degree in history during commencement ceremonies in Haverford, Pa., on Sunday, May 13.
The title of Carlton’s senior thesis, which is the capstone of the Haverford academic experience, is “Richard Nixon’s Drug War: Politics over Pragmatism.”
While studying at Haverford, Carlton was intensely involved with the Golf Club. He competed in multiple tournaments, including those at Lebanon Valley College, Ursinus College, and Rutgers University-Camden. He competed against teams of golfers form all divisions of the NCAA.
