  • A parade and block party honoring the soldiers and veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars are planned for Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Hawley, PA. The parade on Church Street starts at 12 noon.

  • A parade and block party honoring the soldiers and veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars are planned for Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Hawley, PA. The parade on Church Street starts at 12 noon.  
    Parade lineup is at 11 a.m. at Queen of Peace parking lot on upper Church Street. The parade starts at 12 noon and heads down Church Street, crosses Main and ends at the American Legion headquarters at Church Street and Penn Avenue.
    A community block party will be held outside the Post. All are welcome. There is free food and beverages for the soldiers and their families. Post 311, Woodloch Pines and The Dime Bank have contributed funds for the party.
