Two suspects were nabbed Friday afternoon by State Police Blooming Grove after a Fed Ex driver was robbed on Route 6.The armed robbery occurred at about 1:15 p.m. when the 36-year old Federal Expess driver/delivery man had returned to his truck. He had just made a delivery at 1740 Route 6 in Blooming Grove Township, Pike County. He was approached at the truck by two males, one who had a gun.The two accused men then demanded that the victim give him his wallet and open the truck doors or he would kill him. The victim complied and the robbers removed several Fed Ex packages from the truck. Among the items stolen was two flat screen televisions.The robbers then fled the scene on Route 6 in their vehicle.State Police were alerted, and subsequently located the vehicle on SR 402. They were able to stop thevehicle on SR 739, and the two suspects were taken into custody. A subsequent serach of the vehicle located the stolen packages from the Fed Ex truck.The suspects were identified as Jimmy Colon Jr., age 36, of Elmsford, NY and a 17 year old male from New York City.Colon was charged with Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. He was arraigned before District Judge Deborah Fisher and sent to Pike County Prison in lieu of posting $125,000 bail.The 17-year-old was charged as a juvenile with Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Terroristic Threats, Possesion of an Instrument of Crime, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Simple Assault, DUI and Reckless Driving.The teen was committed to a Juvenile Detention Center.Trooper Frank Orlando and Trooper Edward McCarthy are the investigating officers.
