The Wayne Pike Chapter of the American Red Cross plans a special evening at Woodloch Springs to pay tribute to local community first responders in recognition of their selflessness and courage on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 5 p.m.?The Chapter’s Patriots Day Dinner will honor a few select Emergency Management Agencies (Tafton Fire Company, Ledgedale Fire Company, Wayne Ambulance, Hemlock Farms Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Wayne County 911 Center, Pike County 911 Center and outstanding volunteer George Piercy of the Seelyville Fire Company) for their outstanding dedication and commitment in responding to local emergency incidents.?“We will be showing our support for those who selflessly protect each and every one of us on a daily basis,” said local Red Cross officials. “We encourage you to be a part of this event and show your support for the men and women who often get overlooked.”?All are invited to attend.
