  • MILFORD -  The 13th Annual Black Bear Film Festival is bringing agent 007 to local screens. On Saturday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. on the Main Stage in the Milford Theatre, the Black Bear Film Festival, in cooperation with EPIX Films, will present Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007. Eight days after its premier in New York City, the EPIX documentary is showing in Milford just before the new Bond blockbuster, Skyfall. Produced by Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures, Columbia Pictures, Passion Pictures and Red Box Films, the documentary focuses on producer Albert R. Broccoli, Harry Saltzman and author Ian Fleming, the three men behind the success of the James Bond franchise. The film gives viewers a behind-the-scenes peek at the Bond films and the men who created the longest running film franchise in cinema history, since Agent Bond first appeared in 1962. Black Bear Film Festival audience members will get an exclusive opportunity to meet Hilary Saltzman, sister of Harry Saltzman, one of the original producers and owners of the Bond brand. Saltzman will be available for questions after the viewing of Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007. The Black Bear Film Festival began in Milford, PA, in 2000 when a small group of locals set out to produce an event that would support and promote innovate and independent films. The Black Bear Film Festival celebrates Milford's film-making heritage and the conservation movement in tribute to Gifford Pinchot, who fathered the American conservation movement. Zane Grey, D.W. Griffith, Mary Pickford, Lillian Gish, and John Barrymore are a few of the film legends who have lived in and visited Milford in the past. The Black Bear Film Festival has packed theaters and tickets have sold out for over a decade because of the movies, entertaining parties, a free film salon, and more. The Black Bear Film Festival has returned to its home in the newly-renovated Milford Theatre, and supports independent films, artistic expression, education, diversity and cultural enhancement. While also promoting the region's clean air and water, abundant wildlife, natural beauty and the entities that protect them. The Black Bear Film Festival is Northeastern Pennsylvania's Premier Independent Film event, and will be hosted at the Milford Theatre, in Milford, PA.
