  •  Honesdale Annual Barbershop Show set Oct. 6

  •  The Northeasters Honesdale Barbershop chorus of the Barbershop Harmony Society will present its 34 annual show, entitled “Hollywood” on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at Honesdale High School.?Songs from the movies, “Cabaret” and “Zip-A-Dee Doo-Dah” are just a few of the songs that will be performed by the 24 man chorus. Bob Mains directs the chorus that has members of all ages and from all walks. The guest professional barbershop quartet will be “Up All Night.” Tickets cost $10 and may be purchased at the door or from any chorus member.?The show is described as great for the entire family. The chorus is always looking for additional singers. Rehearsals are Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Chapel at 10 and Church Streets in Honesdale.?Call (570)685-1554 if interested in singing or for further information.?The Barbershop Harmony Society is the largest all-male singing organization in the world with about 30,000 members, including 1,500 quartets in 800 chapters. Barbershops perform for fun as well as for organizations and charities.
