Vanderbeek Farm is offering Magical Full Moon Trail Rides. Trail Riders will view a wide-open sky while riding the trails and end the experience around a campfire, where stories will can be shared. For the nights without a bright moon, there are also Fall Foliage Trail Rides offered daily. The opportunity to enjoy Fall’s changing leaves and the season’s crisp air as they ride through rolling fields, open meadows that lead to a stream where riders will cross into a brightly colored forest. Full Moon Trail Rides are $65 and include a lesson to prepare riders for an enjoyable excursion on a trail ride with the help from a professional trail leader. The ride will include a campfire, hot tea, coffee or hot cocoa. Full Moon Trail Rides are available October 28 - 30, November 27 - 29, December 27 - 29, 2012 and January 26 – 28, 2013. Reservations are required. A Fall Foliage Trail Ride offers riders the opportunity to hear the unique sound of horse’s hooves crunching leaves, the smell during a fall ride and the feeling of being in the saddle. Fall Foliage Trail Ride are $35 and include a lesson to prepare riders for an enjoyable excursion on a trail ride with the help from a professional trail leader. The Fall Foliage Trail Rides are available daily. Located just outside of Hawley off Route 590 East, Vanderbeek Farm offers professional riding lessons in their indoor and outdoor riding arenas. Beginner, novice and advanced riders will be able to learn from the professional instructors, Rachel Fitzmorris and Heather Chojnacki. The farm’s indoor arena offers 10,000 square feet of year-round riding space, which is a state of the art structure.
