Everyone is welcome to join some of Milford's finest card players for canasta in the Foundation Room of the Column's Museum, located at 608 Broad St. in Milford. The playing will commence at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday, as well as the fourth Monday of each month beginning in November. A $5 donation is required and light refreshments will be provided courtesy of the museum. There is a hope of having several tables participating, with a seasoned veteran at each table to help other players. The Pike County Historical Society is hoping to recreate the card party rage that once was in the village. Upcoming dates: Monday Oct. 22, Wednesday Nov. 10. Call (570)296-8126 for more information or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Columns Museum is open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, from 1 to 4p.m. and will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. in July and August.
