  •  Greentown resident awarded highest honors

  •  Briana Wilkins of Greentown was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree with Highest Honors at Princeton University’s commencement exercises on June 5th. She was also elected to membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Society, whose membership includes those who finish in the top 10 percent of the graduating class. Briana majored in the University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Her senior thesis was entitled “Batting Cleanup: Analyzing the Success, Financing, and Politics of Using Baseball Stadiums for Urban Revitalization.” Her other activities at Princeton included interning at the Mayor’s Office in Philadelphia, leading the annual community engagement orientation program, running a weekly service project, and serving as an Orange Key tour guide. Briana, the daughter of Douglas and Sue Ann Wilkins and sister of Brooke, plans to work in New York City at Rosetta Marketing, as an associate consultant. Briana graduated as valedictorian from Wallenpaupack Area High School in 2008.
