  •  Pike County District Attorney Raymond Tonkin and Chief Gary Williams of the Milford Police Department announced that two men allegedly responsible for the robbery of a business on 7th Street in Milford Borough on October 10, were arraigned Friday, October 19. Milford Police Department filed a criminal complaint charging both Mitchell Griffin, 19 of Eynon, PA and Chad Hedglin, 27, of Roaring Brook, PA with Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. According to the complaint Mitchell Griffin, and Chad Hedglin, entered the store on 7th Street, asking the clerk how much a sweater was. As the clerk began to ring them up, one of the suspects pulled out a box cutter and demanded her to open the register. The victim fled from the store while the two men emptied the register. Griffin and Hedglin fled on foot. Milford Borough Police Department received a phone call from the pair’s employer relating that Griffin and Hedglin might be the robbery suspects. The employer went to a hotel room where Griffin and Hedgling were staying and asked them where their car was. They told him the car broke down, and had their belongings inside. Griffin and Hedglin left their belongings inside the employer’s vehicle, which were later identified as the clothing used in the robbery. The victim later positively identified Griffin and Hedglin as the two men that robbed the store. Griffin and Hedglin were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Deborah Fisher and remanded in custody in lieu of $ 250.000.00 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 31, 2012.
