  •  Hawley Fire Dept. offers help with water during power outage

  • HAWLEY- If anyone still dealing with the power outages from Hurricane Sandy is in need of household water, one option is to contact the Hawley Fire Department. Deputy Chief Eugene E. Krause stated that anyone in need of a shower, water for their home or to recharge their cell phone, etc., may contact him at (570)335-0851.
    PPL Electric Utilities on Saturday, Nov. 3, reported there were currently 5,497 customers without power in Wayne County and 3,860 in Pike County. System-wide, there was still 48,087 customers without electrical service, across 29 counties of PA. Locally, Krause stated that there were numerous residences still without power in the Marble Hill section and Milestone Estates, in Palmyra Township (Wayne).
