The Milford Business Council and Milford Lions Club will host Milford's annual tree lighting on the grounds of the Community House and Library on Saturday December 1st.
This holiday celebration including hot cocoa, cookies and community caroling begins at 5 p.m. Join locals and visitors alike for the ceremonial countdown and lighting of Milford’s Christmas tree at 6 p.m, when trees throughout the downtown and the star overlooking the town light up the rest of the streets.
Santa Claus will arrive on top of Milford Fire Department Engine 33 with a "very cool" team of reindeer on motorcyles.
Most of Milford’s specialty shops and galleries will remain open until 8 p.m. after the lighting for a town-wide Holiday Open House. Each store features a special promotion with services like free gift wrapping, refreshments and prize drawings.
Don’t forget to bring your camera and wish list for Santa as well as this holiday’s shopping list for your loved ones.
The Milford Community House is located at the traffic light at the intersection of US Routes 6 and 209, Harford and Broad Streets.
