Workforce Wayne, in partnership with East Stroudsburg University, will host an informational session about WEDnetPA Guaranteed Free Training on Monday, December 10, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in The Wayne/Pike Technology Training Lab at the Hawley Silk Mill.
The East Stroudsburg University Office of Workforce Development is a Workforce & Economic Development Network Pennsylvania Partner (WEDnetPA). WEDnetPA encourages Pennsylvania companies to invest in themselves by taking advantage of Guaranteed Free Training which is reimbursable to qualified companies. The program is open to employers of all sizes, whether they are start-ups or established companies.
The WEDnetPA program provides qualified companies with funds for training their employees in Basic Skills (up to $450 per eligible employee) and in Information Technology (up to $850 per eligible employee). Funding is available primarily to manufacturing and technology-based industries including financial services, healthcare, biotech and environmental-tech companies.
Types of training include:

• Business Operations
• Workplace Health & Safety
• Database Development
• Computer Programming
• And much more.
The information session will provide an overview of WEDnetPA training, explain what WEDnetPA training is, program eligibility, the types of eligible training, the application process, criteria for acceptance, and specific details on how the program works. There is no cost to attend this information packed session.
The Wayne/Pike Technology Training Lab is located in the historic Hawley Silk Mill at 8 Silk Mill Drive, Suite 212 Hawley.
