Daniel "Poppy" Holster, age 68, of Clifton, N.J., Hawley, PA, and West Palm Beach, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 19th, 2012. Mr. Holster was born in Paterson NJ on January 12th, 1944.
He was a veteran of the US Army and was a 30 year member of the American Legion. He was a retired member of the C.C. Riders Motorcycle Club.
"Poppy" enjoyed fishing, golf, billiards, and horseshoes.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Pecoraro; son, Daniel R. Holster and his wife Nancy ; stepdaughter, Angie Quinlan; grandchildren, Carolena, Victoria, and Cross; brother, John; sisters, Diane "Honey" Aaron and Patricia Alkema; and many nieces and nephews. Already waiting in Heaven with a cold beer for "Poppy" are his brothers, Wee Willie and Nick.
He was a great man who will be greatly missed, and was loved by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held in Pennsylvania on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at The American Legion Post 311, 521 Church Street; Hawley, PA at 3 p.m. A Memorial Service in New Jersey will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Clifton V.F.W.,Valley Road, Clifton, N.J. from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
