The Wayne County Historical Society (WCHS) is soliciting applications for a temporary, part-time Interim Director, effective on or about January 21, 2013.
The position is located at the WCHS Museum in Honesdale and entails the day to day operations of the museum, which includes, but not limited to the supervision of all staff, recruitment of museum volunteers, collection management and identifying the needs of the museum’s patrons. The Interim Director will report to the Society’s Board of Trustees, attend monthly meetings of the Board and enforce the Society’s policies and procedures. He/she will coordinate and attend committee meetings of the Society as an ex-officio member.
Applicants should possess a college degree, or have a comparable combination of education and/or experience. Excellent organizational and interpersonal relations skills, intermediate computer skills and knowledge of basic accounting are required.
