Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) congratulates Psychiatrist Michael Campbell, M.D., upon receiving board certification in Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Campbell, behavioral health director for WMCHC and a practitioner at the Behavioral Health Center, is now dual board-certified, holding certifications in both psychiatry and family medicine.
"The Behavioral Health Center provides vital services to our community. Services for which there proves to be a continually growing need," expressed Frederick Jackson, executive director of WMCHC. "As the lead of our behavioral health team, Dr. Campbell’s achievement of board-certification in Psychiatry brings our integrated approach to patient treatment to a greater level."
The Behavioral Health Center is an outpatient treatment facility that provides a full-range of behavioral and mental health services to adults, adolescents and children. While Dr. Campbell treats all ages, beginning with children at age 3, he has a special interest in adolescents, mood disorders and patients with substance-abuse issues.
WMCHC, a federally qualified health center and clinical affiliate of Wayne Memorial Health System, Inc., accepts most private insurances and medical assistance. A sliding fee scale is offered based on income. In addition to behavioral health, WMCHC provides primary care, women’s health, pediatric services, general surgery, dental care, and pulmonology at satellite offices located throughout Wayne, Pike and Lackawanna Counties.
