Jeanne Shuman Genzlinger and two others have been elected to the board of WVIA Public Media. The 21 member board governs the region's public broadcasting organization, which provides non-commercial television and radio programming to over 22 counties of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

For 30 years Genzlinger has been a partner and general manager of The Settlers Inn, a country inn and full service restaurant in Hawley, and is also a partner in The Sayre Mansion in Bethlehem, Pa, where she serves as president of that corporation.

Genzlinger is also the managing partner of Ledges Hotel, a boutique hotel in Hawley that opened in 2011. She is active in the hospitality and tourism industries and is a past president and current member of the executive committee of The Pocono Mountain Visitor's Bureau. Genzlinger is a director of The Dime Bank in Honesdale and serves on the advisory board of the Hawley Silk Mill and Kiesendahl School at Lackawanna College.

A graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, Genzlinger also attended the Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania.
