Historic spot?

HAWLEY- Funky, spicy and intelligent best describes the sound to fill the Hawley Silk Mill on Friday, February 15th in the newly renovated Boiler Room. This event will serve as the grand opening of performances to be showcased in the new room, which was originally the actual boiler room for the historic mill, said Jill Carletti.

The blue stone mill was built in 1880 and was used to manufacture textiles for over 100 years. The boiler room is in a lower level.

Who is coming?

The Nat Osborn Band, hosted by Harmony Presents, has wowed the music scene in New York, and now visits our corner to stir up a lot of intoxicating grooves. Lessons learned from studying tabla with a guru in India and the experiences gained by playing folk sessions in the back corner of seaside pubs in Ireland and hot club jazz on the streets of Budapest all blend together in creating the unique sound of The Nat Osborn Band.

"This is what draws people to their music and also what makes it hard to define. Whether it’s a lush, hypnotic ballad about heartbreak, a polyrhythmic Latin-rock song, a dub song about post-traumatic stress, or a drunken tango about destitute desire, these songs are as unpredictable and enthralling as they are catchy and thoughtfully composed. With a full-length record about to be released, a powerhouse ensemble and a decade of experience behind them, this young band is destined to make you a fan for life," Carletti stated.
