HONESDALE- The Catholic Daughters of Court St. Martin 418 hosted an induction and reception for new members Dec. 2.
Those previously inducted and received into the court were: Patricia Brown, Kathy Nonnemacher, Patricia Kandrovy, Kathryn Highhouse and Mary Ann Cavanaugh. Newly inducted members were: Jessica Corrigan, Rosaria Vlazich, Nancy Donovan, Eileen Gallik, Claire Harvey, Patricia Jennings, Mary Fowler, Cathy Knash and Marjorie Tamblyn. Dorothy Rickard, Kathryn Highhouse and Susan Palmer were absent from the photo and ceremony.
Started over a 100 years ago, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) is one of the largest organizations of Catholic women in America. The motto of the CDA is Unity and Charity. The members donate to charities, administer scholarship programs and strive "to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness."
Court St. Martin 418 meets the first Monday of each month September through July in St .Mary’s Church meeting room. New members are welcomed and encouraged to join. Interested women may contact St. John the Evangelist Parish office at 253-4561 or Regent Teresa Murray at 253-2994 or any other member.
