    Shooting incident
    GREENTOWN- Pa. State Police Blooming Grove investigated a shooting incident at Skymeadow Farm, Saturday afternoon Jan. 26. The male victim, age 42, was injured by the shot, which came through a window from outside.
    At 4 p.m., the victim was working in the barn and was in the process of making a telephone call when the glass pane of the rear entry door shattered. He was struck with fragments of metal and glass. Trooper Mark Pizzuti said that the unknown projectile is believed to be a bullet fragment.
    Skymeadow Farm is located at 1610 Route 507 in Greene Township.
    The victim was treated and released at Community Medical Center in Scranton. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Blooming Grove barracks, at (570)226-5718.
    Public drunkenness
    PALMYRA TWP. (Pike)- State Police Blooming Grove arrested Darlene Lila Rogers, 33, of Eldred, NY, for public drunkenness. The incident occurred outside Gresham's Chop House just before 1 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 27.
    Trooper Mark Pajalich said that Rogers had climbed under a fence and rolled down a snow covered hill. She injured her lip in the fall. Police alleged that she was heavily intoxicated. Rogers was released to her mother.
    Traffic stop finds fugitive
    HONESDALE- On Jan. 18 at 10:58 p.m., Honesdale Borough Police conducted a traffic stop on Grandview Avenue. The stop was conducted on a Dodge Dakota for having faulty equipment.
    As a result of the traffic stop officers arrest the driver Brandon Compton age 26 of Carbondale. Compton was wanted out of Lackawanna County on a bench warrant for failure to appear for court. He was transported to the Wayne County Correctional Facility where he awaits his return to Lackawanna County.
    Car, truck tractor meet
    PALMYRA TWP. (Pike) - A crash occurred Jan. 25 between a car and a truck tractor off the Interstate 84 exit ramp at exit 26, connecting to Route 390 in Palmyra Township (Pike). No injuries were reported. This was at 10:50 a.m.
    State Police Blooming Grove said that Michael Somarelli, 20, of Tafton, was heading down the exit ramp in a 1999 Mitsubishi Galante. The car failed to stop at the bottom of the ramp, and skidded onto 390 into the path of a 2006 International Harvester. Joseph Graham, 29, of Scranton, was the operator.
    The car received severe damage and was towed. The truck tractor was damaged in the rear trailer area and also was towed away. No charges were filed, said Trooper Kevin Varcoe.
    Went into a spin
    PAUPACK TWP.- State Police Honesdale report that injuries were minor due to a crash on Goose Pond Road, Paupack Twp., Jan. 14.
    At 5:40 p.m., Victoria L. Sottilare, 19, of Merrick, NY, was heading westbound when the vehicle went into the shoulder. The vehicle then crossed over the other lane, spinning 45 degrees, and struck a utility pole with the passenger's side door. The vehicle bounced off, spun an came to rest five feet from the pole.
    Page 2 of 2 - The driver was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital by Wayne Ambulance, with minor injury, said Trooper Robert Urban. The driver was charged with a lane violation.
    Icy roads
    OREGON TWP.- Michael D. Straut, a 46-year old Honesdale resident, escaped injury in a crash on icy roads, Jan. 22.
    State Police Honesdale said that Straut was heading south on Carley Brook Road, Oregon Township, at 10:20 a.m. While rounding a left curve, the 2000 Mercury Mountaineer skidded off the right shoulder. The vehicle went down an embankment and struck a tree on the west berm,
    PennDOT was notified of icy road conditions, Trooper Jamison Warner said. The vehicle was removed by Northeast Towing. Straut was unhurt, and wasn't charged, police said.
