    READING - The following local students have been awarded scholarships to attend Alvernia University this fall:

    Heather Bennett, of Dingmans Ferry has been granted the Trustees' Scholarship to study Occupational Therapy. Bennett is a senior at Delaware Valley High School.

    Karissa Celona, of Lords Valley has been granted the Veronica Founder's Scholarship to study Psychology. Celona is a senior at Wallenpaupack Area High School.

    Madeline Drake, of Tafton has been granted the Trustees' Scholarship to study Communication. Drake is a senior at Wallenpaupack Area High School.

    Kathleen Murphy, of Milford has been granted the Presidential Scholarship to study Secondary Education. Murphy is a senior at Delaware Valley High School.

    Jeanine Roe, of Milford has been granted the Veronica Founder's Scholarship to study Nursing. Roe is a senior at Delaware Valley High School.

    Jacqueline Sheldon, of Milford has been granted the Presidential Scholarship to study Occupational Therapy. Sheldon is a senior at Delaware Valley High School.
