Highway alert near Scranton

 DUNMORE - As part of the I-81 Pavement Preservation Project contractors will start work on Monday, March 18. Please be advised of detours to I-81 North/Casey Highway, PennDOT reports.

Detour #1 – To go from SR 6 (The Casey Highway) to I-81 North

Motorists will take I-84/380 East to Tigue Street. After exiting on Tigue Street, they will reenter I-84/380 West and go to I-81 North.

Detour #2 – To go from SR 6 (The Casey Highway) to Dunmore

Motorists coming from SR 6 (The Casey Highway) to Dunmore will be directed to exit SR 6 (The Casey Highway) at Exit 1 (Throop- Mt. Cobb/Marshwood Road) and take Marshwood Road west to Dunmore Street/O’Neill Highway.

Detour #3 – To go from I-84/380 West to Dunmore (I-81 Exit 188 – Dunmore/Throop), motorists will take SR 6 (Casey Highway) East to Exit 1 (Throop – Mt. Cobb/Marshwood Road) and take Marshwood Road west to Dunmore Street/O’Neill Highway.
